This way, every team will be complete, and you'll have the chance to make new volleyball friends!

Wir werden während 2 Tagen frische Luft in der Gotthardregion schnuppern. Wunderschöne Landschaften mit Gipfeln und Bergseen, idyllischen Hütten und eine atemberaubende Aussicht erwarten uns! Achtung, kein "3x mit einem Kasten Bier um die Hütte laufen", wir begehen Alpinwanderwege. Wichtig: Jeder Wandernde übernimmt Verantwortung für sich selbst. Nach einem erfolgreichen Start in das neue Studium wird es nun auch Zeit, Zürich und die ETH auf der studentischen Seite zu erkunden. Dafür hat der AMIV für euch einen Postenlauf organisiert, bei dem ihr bei ein bisschen Bier uns - euren Fachverein - besser kennen lernt. Natürlich gibt es nach der Rallye und der Siegerehrung noch Bier und Grill, also kommt doch einfach am Mittwoch (18.09.2024) um 14:15 im CAB Vorhof (da wo der Ersti Apero war) vorbei, findet euch zu fünft in Teams und erkundet Zürich!!

After a successful start to the first semester, it is now time to explore Zurich and the ETH on the student side. For this purpose, AMIV has organized a post-run for you, where you can get to know us - your student association - better over a few beers. Of course, there will be beer and barbecue after the rally and the award ceremony, so just come to the CAB courtyard (where the "Ersti Apero" was) on Wednesday (18.09.2024) at 2:15 p.m., find a team of five students and explore Zurich!!

Embedded Software Engineering Intern

## Overview
Every maritime, dredging, or offshore project requires preparatory survey investigation. Throughout the project's lifecycle, including post-completion, the team performs regular measurements (hydrographic, topographic, etc.) using modern equipment. This detailed mapping and monitoring are crucial, as measurement is knowledge.

## Responsibilities
- **Set-up of Survey Activities**: At the project's start, install equipment such as sounding equipment, tide gauges, and positioning system equipment.
- **Determination of Sounding Method**: Choose the most suitable sounding method for the project.
- **Performance of Measurements**: Conduct accurate measurements as required.
- **Volume Calculation**: Calculate dredged volumes for reporting, invoicing, etc.
- **Map Creation**: Draw maps using specialized software.
- **Maintenance and Calibration**: Maintain and calibrate various 'high-tech' systems.
- **Problem-Solving and Communication**: Act as a contact person for issues regarding positioning systems on board vessels.
- **Reporting**: Report activities to line management.
- **Administration**: Handle administrative tasks related to survey activities.

## Profile
- **Education**: Degree in engineering, preferably in hydrography or topography.
- **Work Schedule**: Willingness to work on projects worldwide with a rotation of 2 months onshore and 1 month holiday.
- **Skills**: Good command of English is essential. A driver's license is required.
