Bei EKZ Ventures entwickeln und betreiben wir den Techstack in den Bereichen E-Mobilität und erneuerbare Energien. Wir suchen per August/September 2024 Verstärkung für ein 6-monatiges Praktikum. Während deines Praktikums wirst du an verschiedenen Aufgaben arbeiten, wie z.B. der Entwicklung von Schnittstellen, der Evaluierung und Einführung neuer Technologien sowie der Weiterentwicklung unseres bestehenden Stacks. Deine Beiträge unterstützen direkt den Erfolg unserer Ventures.

Als Praktikant wirst du eng mit unserem Team von Ingenieuren und Entwicklern zusammenarbeiten. Du wirst in den gesamten Lebenszyklus von Projekten eingebunden sein, von der Konzeptualisierung und Planung bis hin zur Implementierung und Prüfung. Du wirst die Möglichkeit haben, Tools für interne Benutzer als Webanwendungen zu entwickeln, APIs und Schnittstellen mit Azure ESB zu entwerfen und zu entwickeln und Elemente unseres Tech-Stacks, wie Abrechnungstools und Lademanagementsysteme, zu verbessern. Darüber hinaus wirst du beim Aufbau und der Optimierung von Datenpipelines und Datenvisualisierungen in Azure mitwirken, um datenbasierte Entscheidungsprozesse zu unterstützen.

Du wirst auch damit beauftragt, CI/CD-Pipelines zu erstellen, um sicherzustellen, dass unser Code effizient und fehlerfrei bereitgestellt wird. Diese Rolle erfordert ein hohes Maß an Selbstständigkeit, unternehmerischem Denken und eine proaktive Herangehensweise an die Problemlösung. Du solltest deine Programmierkenntnisse, insbesondere in Python, mitbringen und ein Interesse an Energietechnik, Digitalisierung und IT-Systemen haben. Erfahrung mit Datenbanken und Cloud-Computing ist von Vorteil, und gute Englischkenntnisse sind erforderlich, während Deutschkenntnisse von Vorteil sind.

Join us in working on sustainable energy systems. At EKZ Ventures, we develop and operate the tech stack in the fields of e-mobility and renewable energy. We are seeking support for a 6-month internship starting in August/September 2024. During your internship, you will engage in various tasks such as developing interfaces, evaluating and introducing new technologies, and further developing our existing stack. Your contributions will directly support our ventures' success.

As an intern, you will work closely with our team of engineers and developers. You will be involved in the complete lifecycle of projects, from conceptualization and planning to implementation and testing. You will have the opportunity to develop tools for internal users as web applications, design and develop APIs and interfaces using Azure ESB, and enhance elements of our tech stack, such as billing tools and load management systems. Additionally, you will help build and optimize data pipelines and data visualizations in Azure to support data-driven decision-making processes.

You will also be tasked with creating CI/CD pipelines to ensure our code is efficiently and error-free deployed. This role requires a high degree of independence, entrepreneurial thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will need to bring your programming skills, particularly in Python, and have an interest in energy technology, digitalization, and IT systems. Experience with databases and cloud computing is a plus, and proficiency in English is required, while German is advantageous.

We use single defects in diamond, Nitrogen Vacancy centers, as atomic scale sensors. We create images of magnetic and electric fields, microwave magnitudes and temperatures with <25 nm resolution. Applications range from academic research to semiconductor R&D, with a growing customer base.

## Current Projects

### Time Resolved Readout
Quantum state readout relies on time-resolved photo detection with ns resolution. Increased photon fluxes require new detectors as well as fast digitalization and signal preprocessing.

- **Project goal**: FPGA photon detection module with 500 MS/s data acquisition rate.

### Vector Magnet Current Source
To extend the capabilities of our vector magnet design, we are working on a new current source design, enabling DC and AC biasing and incorporating machine learning for feedback control.

- **Project goal**: Production PCB design, verification, testing, and housing design.

### Low Noise Amplifier
Our atomic force microscope relies on detecting a small 32 kHz resonance signal for feedback. An improved low-noise amplifier is now needed to achieve even higher resolution scanning speeds.

- **Project goal**: Verified and tested design ready for production.

### Motorized Miniature Probers
Semiconductor applications require currents and voltages in the sample, which are fed in using pads and needle probes. Miniature versions are needed to be compatible with our microscope.

- **Project goal**: Full demonstrator of motorized, miniaturized probers.
