Dann komm an unser Kickoff & Info Event! Zuerst erzählen wir Dir 30 Minuten wer wir sind, was wir machen, und wo wir schon so waren in Europa. Ausserdem erfährst Du, wie du Mitglied wirst und auch mitreisen kannst.
Danach gibt es gemütlich Sangria als Vorbereitung für das anschliessende Erstsemestrigenfest (ESF), wo wir gemeinsam hingehen (Eintritt/Ticket ist Deine Verantwortung).

EESTEC Kickoff & Info

AMIVs Theatergruppe szene3 ist zurück! Bist Du ein Hollywood-Schauspieler im Ruhestand und möchtest Deine glorreichen Tage noch einmal erleben? Warst Du noch nie in einem Theater, auch nicht als Gast? Oder hast Du gerade unseren Flyer gesehen und Dir gefallen die Kostüme? Das könnte etwas für Dich sein! Jetzt, zu Beginn des Herbstsemesters, starten wir ein neues Projekt und suchen immer engagierte Studierende, die sich für Schauspiel interessieren und mitmachen möchten (keine Vorkenntnisse erforderlich). Wir treffen uns einmal wöchentlich im Theatersaal der Uni Irchel zum Proben und treten im Frühjahr auf. Wenn das interessant klingt, bist Du herzlich eingeladen, an unserem Info-Meeting teilzunehmen, wo wir alle Details erklären werden.

AMIV's theater group szene3 is back! Are you a retired hollywood actor and want to relive your glory days? Have you never been in a theater, not even as a guest? Or did you just see our flyer and liked the costumes? This might be something for you! Now, at the beginning of the fall semester, we start a new project and are always looking for committed students who are interested in acting and would like to participate (no prior experience required). We meet once a week in the theater at Irchel University to rehearse and we perform in spring. If this sounds interesting, you are very welcome to join our Info Meeting, where we will explain all details. 

*to participate as an actor, fluent German is required*

Überlegst du dir, nach dem Studium im Software Engineering zu arbeiten, denkst aber, dass du ggf. die Anforderungen der Job-Inserate nicht erfüllst? M&F Engineering erklärt euch, wie ein solcher Quereinstieg bei uns gelingt und beantwortet unter anderem folgende Fragen: Was kann ich während dem Studium tun? Was gibt es bei der Bachelor- und Masterarbeit zu beachten? Welche Einstiegsmöglichkeiten gibt es? Wie kann ich mich auf ein technisches Bewerbungsgespräch vorbereiten? Nach dem Vortrag habt ihr zudem die Möglichkeit, Fragen zu stellen und euch bei einem Apéro mit dem CEO und einem Software Engineer von M&F (beides Quereinsteiger) zu unterhalten.

Do you consider working in software engineering after graduation, but think that you do not meet the requirements of the job advertisement? M&F Engineering explains how such a lateral entry is still possible and answers the following questions, among others: What can I do during my studies? What should I bear in mind when writing my Bachelor's and Master's thesis? What entry opportunities are there? How can I prepare for a technical job interview? After the presentation, you will also have the opportunity to ask questions and talk to representatives of M&F and a career changer during an apero. This presentation will be held in German.

Du hast tolle Ideen für neue AMIV Events? Du möchtest dein eigenes Event organisieren? Oder du möchtest einfach mehr über kommende Events erfahren. Dann bist du beim Kultur Kickoff genau richtig. Wir zeigen dir, wie Eventorganisation beim AMIV funktioniert und du kannst direkt den Organisationskomitees für deine Lieblingsevents beitreten oder dich als Helfer melden. Nachdem Events verteilt sind, werden wir uns als neues Kulturteam beim Essen besser kennenlernen.

Do you have great ideas for new AMIV events? You want to organise your own event? You want to know about upcoming events? Then come to Kultur Kick off and join the Kulturteam. You will get an insight in how event organisation at AMIV works and you can join your favourite organisation committees or just sign up as a helper. And after everything serious is done, we will do team bonding with the new Kulturteam with some food and drinks.

Kultur KickOff

In den Karriere-Coachings mit Studierenden und Doktorierenden stösst das ETH Career Center regelmässig auf verbreitete Fehleinschätzungen von Absolventinnen und Absolventen bezüglich ihres Einstiegs in den Arbeitsmarkt und ihrer zukünftigen beruflichen Karriere.
Einige dieser Fehleinschätzungen sind:
o "Eine falsche Entscheidung jetzt wird meine berufliche Karriere ruinieren - für immer."
o "Ich muss meiner Leidenschaft folgen... (Hilfe! Ich habe keine!)"
o "Ohne einen Doktortitel in meinem Fachgebiet werde ich keinen Job finden."
o "Es gibt da draußen einen perfekten Job für mich... Ich muss ihn nur finden!"
Sind diese Aussagen wahr oder falsch, würdige Karrierevorstellungen oder eher falsche Vorstellungen? In dieser interaktiven Präsentation erfahren die Zuhörer, welche Überzeugungen sich hinter diesen falschen Vorstellungen verbergen und wie sie Hochschulabsolventen davon abhalten könnten, bei der Stellensuche erfolgreich zu sein.

In their career coaching sessions with students and doctoral students, the ETH Career Center regularly encounters common career misconceptions that graduates have about their entry onto the job market and
their future professional career.
Some of these misconceptions are:
o	"A wrong decision now will ruin my professional career - forever."
o	"I need to follow my passion... (Help! I don't have one!)"
o	"Without a PhD in my field I will not find a job."
o	"There is one perfect job for me out there... I just need to find it!"
Are these statements true or false, worthy career conceptions or rather misconceptions? During this interactive presentation, the audience will learn what beliefs lie beneath these misconceptions and how they could be holding graduates back from being successful in their job search.

External Relations Kickoff

Hast du Interesse am Bierbrauen? In der Braukommission stellen wir alle zwei Wochen 200 Liter Bier her! Unsere Brau-Sessions sind offen für alle und der kommende Kickoff-Braugang ist der ideale Zeitpunkt, um erstmals mitzumachen und neue Leute kennenzulernen. Für Bier und Mittagessen ist gesorgt. 

Da wir wissen, wie voll der Terminkalender an der ETH sein kann, ist es nicht zwingend notwendig, den ganzen Tag zu bleiben.

Die Braugänge finden bei der Garage hinter dem CAB statt, eine Karte findet man auf Instagram bei @amivbrau! Bei weiteren Fragen könnt ihr uns gerne kontaktieren.


Are you interested in brewing beer? At the Brewing-Commission, we produce 200 liters of beer from scratch every two weeks! Our brewing sessions are open to everybody and the upcoming kickoff brewday is the ideal time to start participating and meet new people. Beer and lunch are available to all participants. 

We understand how busy schedules at ETH can be, so it is not mandatory to stay the whole day.

What time can you join us?

Wolltest du schon immer mal die IT Infrastruktur vom AMIV kennen lernen? Braucht die amiv Homepage ein neues Feature? Oder willst du sonst einfach mal an einem Projekt mitcoden? Dann komm unverbindlich mal am Montag Nachmittag im AMIV Bÿro vorbei und hilf mit die IT Umgebung des amiv zu verbessern. Obwohl etwas Programmiervorwissen hilft, brauchst du kein spezielles Vorwissen. 
Anmeldung ist Freiwillig. 

Have you always wanted to get to know the IT infrastructure of AMIV? Does the amiv homepage need a new feature? Or do you just want to code on a project? Then come by the AMIV office on Monday afternoon and help to improve the IT environment of the amiv. Although some programming knowledge helps, you don't need any special knowledge.

Coding Kickoff

Lust, die AMIV/VIS/VMP/VSETH IT kennenzulernen und weiterzubringen? Am Coding Weekend wird über zwei Tage an der IT Infrastuktur gebugfixed, weiterentwickelt und erneuert. Gemeinsam mit AMIV, VIS, VMP und VSETH SEK fahren wir auf den Flumserberg und programmieren gemeinsam!


Would you like to get to know AMIV/VIS/VMP/VSETH IT and improve it? During the Coding Weekend, the IT infrastructure will be bugfixed, further developed and renewed over two days. Together with AMIV, VIS, VMP and VSETH SEK we will go to Flumserberg and code together!

Informales Meetup für alle Interessierten, die unser studentische Labor, das Bastli (im CAB), kennenlernen wollen. Du kannst auch spontan vorbeikommen, aber wir bevorzugen eine Anmeldung, um zu wissen, wie viele Hotdogs wir brauchen. Lerne unser Team kennen, schau dir unsere fertigen Projekte Gewinne einen Eindruck von unseren unzähligen Möglichkeiten an, repariere dein Keyboard oder plane dein eigenes Projekt!

Informal meetup for all people who want to see our students' lab in CAB, Bastli. You can drop by spontaneously but if you register we know how many hotdogs to provide. Meet our team, see our finished projects, find out what tools and services we provide, repair your keyboard or make plans for you own projects to work on.
