External Relations Kickoff

Hast du Interesse am Bierbrauen? In der Braukommission stellen wir alle zwei Wochen 200 Liter Bier her! Unsere Brau-Sessions sind offen für alle und der kommende Kickoff-Braugang ist der ideale Zeitpunkt, um erstmals mitzumachen und neue Leute kennenzulernen. Für Bier und Mittagessen ist gesorgt. 

Da wir wissen, wie voll der Terminkalender an der ETH sein kann, ist es nicht zwingend notwendig, den ganzen Tag zu bleiben.

Die Braugänge finden bei der Garage hinter dem CAB statt, eine Karte findet man auf Instagram bei @amivbrau! Bei weiteren Fragen könnt ihr uns gerne kontaktieren.


Are you interested in brewing beer? At the Brewing-Commission, we produce 200 liters of beer from scratch every two weeks! Our brewing sessions are open to everybody and the upcoming kickoff brewday is the ideal time to start participating and meet new people. Beer and lunch are available to all participants. 

We understand how busy schedules at ETH can be, so it is not mandatory to stay the whole day.

**Key Responsibilities:** 
- Collaborate closely with our skilled team of chemical engineers to develop and enhance
process models for precipitation and polymerization, with a specific focus on utilizing PHREEQC modeling. 
- Assist in the planning, execution, and analysis of batch experiments related to these processes, validating and refining theoretical models. 
- Employ PHREEQC modeling software to simulate and predict chemical reactions, equilibria, and speciation in complex systems. 
- Collect, interpret, and analyze experimental and simulation data to derive valuable insights and suggest process enhancements.

**Qualifications:** 
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Chemical Engineering or a related field.

YOUR PROFILE

* You bring along expertise in sensors, actuators, electronics, and control systems theory.
* Solid background in mechanical engineering and programming (e.g., Siemens Tia/Beckhoff/B&R PLC or equivalent, Python, Arduino, ROS or similar).
* Practical experience in building machines is a plus as well as know-how in electric circuits design and usage of suitable E-CAD tools.
* Ability to promote continuous improvement while achieving the desired results.
* Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
* Professional level in English and German.

Nach einer umfassenden Einführung in die Workshopinhalte, sowie die administrative und materialtechnische Organisation rund um die Workshops, führst du die ersten Workshops gemeinsam mit einem erfahrenen Coach durch, bevor du selbst die Leitung übernimmst. Die Workshops werden in der Regel von zwei Coaches gemeinsam durchgeführt und finden in der ganzen Deutschschweiz und hin und wieder auch in der Westschweiz statt. Terminlich liegen die Workshops meistens unter der Woche, jeweils an unterschiedlichen Tagen und dauern 1.5 Stunden bis zu 2 Tagen. Sobald du Workshopleiter:in bist erhältst du Zugang zu unserem Jobportal. Hier kannst du dich nach der Einführung zu den Workshops auf die jeweiligen Einsätze melden. NIL Technology is growing, and we are looking for student employees or interns to work in our optical lab and hacker lab in Horgen. 
Are you are interested in working with optical components, this position might be interesting for you! We expect you to have a passion for optics and to appreciate the opportunity to work in an advanced nanotech company.

You should be a bachelor or master student with relevant practical experience from working in the laboratory, ideally optical lab.
The work will include optical measurements on nanostructured diffractive optical elements and meta surfaces, data analysis as well as day-to-day work on preparing and maintaining the optical setups. Additionally we also have tasks in our hacker lab where we prepare demonstrators and reverse engineer different optical products. Depending on your skills and interest you can also be part of other advanced projects.
