Sie begleiten dich in Vorlesungen, Übungen und in den Pausen, um einen echten Eindruck vom Studium in Elektrotechnik oder Maschinenbau zu bekommen.

The AMIV "Student for a Day" program gives pupils the chance to experience life as an ETH student for a day! They will accompany you during lectures, labs, and breaks to get a real insight into Electrical or Mechanical Engineering studies.

Interessierst du dich dafür, bei der Entwicklung der AMIV Tools mitzuhelfen und Teil des IT Teams zu werden? Komm an diesem Donnerstag Abend vorbei und lerne die AMIV IT kennen und wie du dabei mithelfen kannst, sie zu verbessern! Es sind keine Vorkenntnisse notwendig und Getränke, Snacks wie auch Pizza werden zur Verfügung gestellt.
Man muss nicht die ganze Zeit da sein, gerne kann man auch einfach mal hineinschauen :)

IT Team Kickoff

Der Übergang vom Studium ins Berufsleben ist spannend, kann aber auch viele Fragen aufwerfen. Wo beginnt man mit der Jobsuche? Welche Strategien funktionieren tatsächlich? Und wie finden Absolvent:innen ihren ersten Job nach der ETH?

Die Veranstaltung beginnt mit einer Keynote von Anja Pauling vom ETH Career Center zum Thema „Job Search Strategies“.

Dabei geht es unter anderem um:
• den Career Management Cycle
• reaktive und proaktive Strategien bei der Jobsuche
• typische Missverständnisse rund um die Jobsuche
• Möglichkeiten, während des Bewerbungsprozesses motiviert zu bleiben

Anschliessend geht es von der Theorie in die Praxis.

In einer Podiumsdiskussion berichten ehemalige AMIV-/ETH-Studierende von ihrem persönlichen Weg ins Berufsleben. Dabei möchten wir unterschiedliche Wege beleuchten — von Praktika und klassischen Bewerbungen über Networking, Start-ups und Forschung bis hin zu Graduate Programs und anderen Einstiegsmöglichkeiten.

Die Panelist:innen sprechen offen darüber, was für sie funktioniert hat, was sie überrascht hat, welche Fähigkeiten in ihrem Berufsleben wichtig wurden und was sie heute anders machen würden, wenn sie noch einmal vor dem Berufseinstieg stünden.

Im Anschluss laden wir euch zu einem Apéro ein — eine gute Gelegenheit, die Gespräche mit den Speaker:innen und anderen Studierenden persönlich fortzusetzen.

The transition from university into working life can be exciting, but also uncertain. Where do you start looking? Which job-search strategies actually work? And how do people really find their first position after ETH?

The event begins with a keynote by Anja Pauling from the ETH Career Center on “Job Search Strategies”.

The keynote will cover topics including:
• the career management cycle
• reactive vs. proactive job-search strategies
• common misconceptions about the job search
• ways to stay motivated throughout the process

Afterwards, the discussion moves from strategy to real experience.

In a panel discussion, former AMIV/ETH students will share how they found their way into their careers. We want to explore different paths into professional life — from internships and regular applications to networking, startups, research, graduate programmes and other routes.

The panelists will talk openly about what worked for them, what surprised them, the skills that became important in their careers, and what they would do differently if they were graduating today.

After the event, join us for an Apéro and continue the conversation with the speakers and fellow students.

Bitte wählt eure Kategorie fair:
Teams mit mehr als einem Mitglied mit einer Profi-Lizenz wird dringend empfohlen, in der Intermediate-Kategorie anzutreten. Da es keine Profi-Kategorie gibt, sind maximal vier lizenzierte Spieler*innen pro Team erlaubt.

Only the team leader needs to register.

Games are played 6 vs 6, with at least two women on the court at all times!

We play with 2 categories: Fun and Intermediate.

Please choose your category carefully:
Teams with more than one member holding a professional license are strongly encouraged to register in the Intermediate category. Since there is no Pro category, a maximum of four licensed players is allowed per team.

Das dies-semestrige Magerquark Wettessen steht wieder vor der Tür. Am Donnerstag dem 08.10 lässt sich das Semester mit 500 g Magerquark ordentlich genießen. 25 hungrige Gainz-süchtige Teilnehmer werden den Quark so schnell wie möglich verschlingen. 

This semester's lean curd eating competition is just around the corner. On Thursday 08.10.26 the semester can be properly enjoyed with 500 g of curd. 25 hungry gainz-addicted participants will devour the quark as fast as possible.

Egal ob Anfänger oder erfahrener Spieler – hier geht es um Strategie, Teamwork und vor allem Spass in entspannter Atmosphäre! Du musst mindestens 18 Jahre alt sein um an diesem Event teilnehmen zu dürfen.

Are you ready for an action-packed outdoor laser tag experience? In exciting game modes, teams will face off and put their tactical skills to the test. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, it's all about strategy, teamwork, and most importantly, having fun in a relaxed atmosphere! You need to be at least 18 years old to attend this event.
