Wolltest du schon immer mal die IT Infrastruktur vom AMIV kennen lernen? Braucht die amiv Homepage ein neues Feature? Oder willst du sonst einfach mal an einem Projekt mitcoden? Dann komm unverbindlich mal am Mittwoch Nachmittag im AMIV Bÿro vorbei und hilf mit die IT Umgebung des amiv zu verbessern. Obwohl etwas Programmiervorwissen hilft, brauchst du kein spezielles Vorwissen. 
Das kickoff event ist am Mittwoch dem 28.2.24. Wir werden auch sonnst jeden Mittwoch Nachmittag da sein. 

Have you always wanted to get to know the IT infrastructure of AMIV? Does the amiv homepage need a new feature? Or do you just want to code on a project? Then come by the AMIV office on Wednsday afternoon and help to improve the IT environment of the amiv. Although some programming knowledge helps, you don't need any special knowledge.
Kickoff is on Wednsday the 28.2.24. But we will be there every Wednesday afternoon afterwards.

Seit 1979 in Betrieb, ist Gösgen eine wichtige Energiequelle und deckt 8% des Schweizer Strombedarfs ab. Mit einem einzigen Druckwasserreaktor, der 970 MW erzeugt und im Besitz von Kernkraftwerk Gösgen-Däniken AG ist, werden strenge Sicherheitsmaßnahmen eingehalten. Erleben Sie die Betriebsabläufe aus erster Hand bei geführten Touren und erfahren Sie unsere Transparenz.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Anmeldung verbindlich ist; Benachrichtigen Sie uns bis zum 01.06., wenn Sie nicht teilnehmen können. Late deregistration results in an entry to the blacklist at a price of CHF20.

We extend a warm invitation to join the exclusive AMIV Tour of one of Switzerland's largest power plants. Following a comprehensive tour with hazmat suits, indulge in an Apéro. We convene directly at the Gösgen Nuclear Power Plant at 08:30.

Operational since 1979, Gösgen is a vital energy source, supplying 8% of Switzerland's power. With a single pressurized water reactor yielding 970 MW, owned by Kernkraftwerk Gösgen-Däniken AG, it upholds rigorous safety measures. Explore its operations firsthand on guided tours, showcasing our dedication to transparency.

Kindly note that registration is binding; notify us by 01.06. if unable to attend. Late deregistration results in an entry to the blacklist at a price of CHF20.

Wir werden das Schmiedewerk von Imbach & Cie in Nebikon, Kanton Luzern, besichtigen. Nach einer Einführung in die verschiedenen eingesetzten Verfahren sehen wir uns Freiformschmieden, Ringwalzen, etc.  an der Schmiedepresse bzw. Ringwalzmaschine an.

We will visit the forging plant of Imbach & Cie in Nebikon, Canton of Lucerne. After an overview of the different processes used, we will have a look at the processes in operation.

Beim Bierathlon läufst du eine Meile (1,6 km) und trinkst dabei vier Biere. Nach jeder 400-Meter-Runde wartet ein volles Bier an der Station. Zeig, dass du schnell laufen und trinken kannst, ohne zu verschütten. Wer diese Herausforderung meistert, holt sich den Sieg.

The Beer Mile is a wild race combining speed and drinking. Participants run four laps around a 400-meter track, totaling one mile, but must chug a full beer before each lap. That's four beers, four laps, and one epic mile. The challenge? Balance your speed and beer intake without spilling or losing your cool. Fast feet, strong stomach, and good pacing are the keys to beer-fueled victory!

Die Sommerferien sind wie im Flug an dir vorbeigezogen? Du sitzt seit sechs Wochen wieder in der Vorlesung und bist schon gestresst? Für all jene, die schon zum Start eine Auszeit benötigen, für all jene, die in Gedanken noch gerne ein bisschen in den Ferien schwelgen und für all jene, welche heisses Wasser und Massagedüsen den 8-Uhr Vorlesungen vorziehen organisiert der AMIV den Wellness- und Spa Abend. Zusammen werden wir einen Abend lang dem Hürlimann Thermalbad & Spa Zürich einen Besuch abstatten.

Have the summer holidays flown by like a GE Turbofan? You've been back in lectures or theses for six weeks and are already stressed out? The AMIV is organising a wellness and spa evening for all those who need a break right at the start, for all those who like to reminisce about their holidays and for all those who prefer hot water and massage jets to 8 o'clock lectures. Together we will spend an evening at the Hürlimann Thermalbad & Spa Zurich.

Lerne unser Team kennen, schau dir unsere fertigen Projekte Gewinne einen Eindruck von unseren unzähligen Möglichkeiten an, repariere dein Keyboard oder plane dein eigenes Projekt!

Informal meetup for all people who want to see our students' lab in CAB, Bastli. You can drop by spontaneously but if you register we know how many hotdogs to provide. Meet our team, see our finished projects, find out what tools and services we provide, repair your keyboard or make plans for you own projects to work on.

Wenn das Interesse gross genug ist, werden wir dieses Event weiterführen und vielleicht sogar auf einen Zweitäger ausbauen.

AMIV is organising its first ever motorcycle ride-out, catering to the multitude of motorcyclists within its ranks. Sign up and let's enjoy a relaxed couple of hours on the road together.
If the demand is sufficient, we will continue to offer this event in the future and maybe even extend it to an overnighter.

Entdecke eine der beeindruckendsten Wasserkraftanlagen der Schweiz und erfahre aus erster Hand, wie Energie gespeichert und erzeugt wird.

- **Treffpunkt**: 11:15 Uhr am HB Gruppentreffpunkt
- **Kosten**: Kostenlos (inkl. Anreise)
- **Mitbringen**: Etwas zu trinken, trittfestes Schuhwerk (es gibt viele Treppen), und eine gute gesundheitliche Verfassung ist Voraussetzung.

Was ist HoPo und was machen die eigentlich alles? Das sind doch die von den Prüfungsvorbereitungskursen, oder?
Spoiler: Zur Hochschulpolitik zählt noch viel mehr: Berufungen von Professor:innen, Notenkonferenzen, Semestersprecher:innen und noch vieles mehr...
Du willst dich z.B. dafür einsetzen, dass die ETH nachhaltiger und diverser wird? Bam! - die Hochschulpolitik ist dein Place-to-be.

Man munkelt zudem, dass es nach der Vorstellung Essen und Trinken gibt, bei dem wir uns noch weiter austauschen können.

You will get know what the university politics team is working on and how you can get involved. Spoiler: If you always wanted to know how professors get appointed, how a grading conference looks like, how you can actively work on improving your curriculum or you just want ETH to become more sustainable? Then, we might be able to tell you more!
