In unserem Laboratory-Team werden die IWC-Prototypen nochmal so richtig auf die Probe gestellt:
Schlagtests, Wasserdichtigkeitsprüfungen und Gebrauchssimulatoren zur Prüfung der Lebensdauer
unserer Uhren, einzelner Komponenten und Materialien gehören hier zum Tagesgeschäft! Als unser
Intern Test Engineering wird es Dein Ziel sein, aus einem bestehenden Prototyp ein serienreifes Produkt
zu entwickeln, das die Uhrenperformance anhand des Gangverhaltens aufzeichnet. Das Gerät soll in
unserer Produktion zur Qualitätssicherung eingesetzt werden.
Dauer: 6 Monate

Start: Idealerweise im September 2023

Deine Mission bei IWC

* Projektleitung und Sicherstellung der Termine mit internen und externen Lieferanten sowie Kontrolle des Projektbudgets
* Softwareentwicklung zur Aufnahme und Analyse der Messdaten (C++ / Python / Labview)
* Machbarkeitsanalyse sowie Auftragsbesprechung mit der internen Fertigung und externen Lieferanten
* Dokumentation der Software und des Produkts

Wie du Teil der Reise wirst

* Bachelor und/oder Master im Bereich Informatik, Elektrotechnik, Maschinenbau oder ähnliches
* Programmierkenntnisse im Bereich C++
* Gute Deutschkenntnisse, Englisch und/oder Französisch wäre ein Plus
* Motivation, Teamwille und richtig Lust auf Entwicklung!

**Stellenbeschreibung:**  
Als **Praktikant im Bereich Embedded Software Engineering** werden Sie für ein 6-monatiges Praktikum in unser dynamisches Drives & Controls-Team integriert, mit einer Arbeitsbelastung von 80-100%. Ihre Rolle umfasst die Mitarbeit an der Entwicklung einer neuen Antriebsplattform für Schiebetürsysteme, die zur signifikanten Reduzierung des Wärmeverlusts von Gebäuden beiträgt. Sie arbeiten mit einem motivierten Team aus Elektronikentwicklern, Ingenieuren verschiedener Fachrichtungen und anderen Embedded Software-Kollegen zusammen. Zu Ihren Aufgaben gehören die Programmierung hardwarenaher Software für Türantriebssysteme, das Treffen von Design-Entscheidungen bezüglich der Software-Architektur sowie die Umsetzung von User-Stories nach agilen Methoden unter Berücksichtigung von Sicherheitsanforderungen.

**Anforderungen:**  
- Studium der Informatik oder Elektrotechnik an einer ETH/FH.
- Programmierkenntnisse in C++.
- Kenntnisse im Embedded-Bereich, einschließlich Firmware-Entwicklung und Echtzeitbetriebssysteme.
- Gute Deutsch- und/oder Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift.

As an **Intern in Embedded Software Engineering**, you will join our dynamic Drives & Controls team for a 6-month internship at an 80-100% workload. Embedded Software Engineering Intern

## Overview
Every maritime, dredging, or offshore project requires preparatory survey investigation. Throughout the project's lifecycle, including post-completion, the team performs regular measurements (hydrographic, topographic, etc.) using modern equipment. This detailed mapping and monitoring are crucial, as measurement is knowledge.

## Responsibilities
- **Set-up of Survey Activities**: At the project's start, install equipment such as sounding equipment, tide gauges, and positioning system equipment.
- **Determination of Sounding Method**: Choose the most suitable sounding method for the project.
- **Performance of Measurements**: Conduct accurate measurements as required.
- **Volume Calculation**: Calculate dredged volumes for reporting, invoicing, etc.
- **Map Creation**: Draw maps using specialized software.
- **Maintenance and Calibration**: Maintain and calibrate various 'high-tech' systems.
- **Problem-Solving and Communication**: Act as a contact person for issues regarding positioning systems on board vessels.
- **Reporting**: Report activities to line management.
- **Administration**: Handle administrative tasks related to survey activities.

## Profile
- **Education**: Degree in engineering, preferably in hydrography or topography.
- **Work Schedule**: Willingness to work on projects worldwide with a rotation of 2 months onshore and 1 month holiday.
- **Skills**: Good command of English is essential. A driver's license is required.
